On March 17, 2006, we are celebrating the kids again with the Return Of The Stars Ball.
Last years event was, well, unbelievable!!! The kids had the best time, chauffeured to The Ceremony in limousines, escorted down the red carpet to over a hundred waiting fans. They signed autographs, received award trophies, and had a fantastic time. Event goers are still raving about it. Please don't miss this great opportunity to treat these wonderful kids to one of the special nights of thier lives.
Sponsorships are still available!

March 2006
On March 25, 2006, the much anticipated, unique collaborative effort between Little Smiles and The Rotary Club of Wellington,” Stars Ball 2006” was held at the International Polo Club.
The littlest stars of all (Pediatric patients from Palms West Hospital and St. Mary’s- Nicklaus Children’s Hospital) were escorted to the “Red Carpet” at the elite International Polo Club by limousine The Stars were greeted by paparazzi and autograph seekers! Once in the club, the stars were the guests of honor at a cocktail reception and Academy Award Ceremony presented by Big Screen MovieStar Tommy Lee Jones and local celebrity Justin Syden!
Immediately after the performance, the “Stars” were whisked back to their limos as the 300 + guests stayed for an exquisite evening of dining and dancing as well as a fabulous live and silent auction.
One parents wrote:
Last night was a night to be remembered. My daughter shined at the Stars Ball. She was as interested in seeing the other children happy as she was to be there herself. My daughter was a little smiles star in Wellington and it really showed.
My husband and I are very very appreciative to everyone who was involved in putting this all together. I understand it was a first time event. We all felt a warm welcome from everyone who made this all possible for all those kids. My daughter has Crohn's disease and this experience has been humbling to her. She connected to all the children and especially the little ones some of whom are very ill. She felt a bonding with the people she met and I personally feel it gave her a night to help others as well as shine herself.
Thank you all so much. Oh yes, to meet Tommy Lee Jones in person was a definite highlight in her life. She hasn't stopped talking about it. He was very kind and generous to have donated his time as well. If you know a way to thank him for all of us, please do. He was wonderful with the kids and sincere as well.
Thanks to all the Little Smiles and Rotary of Wellington folks who brought big smiles to our most precious children.
And another parent commented:
Congratulations, the ball was awesome!!! You did a great job. All the kids had a blast.
I dont know if you had a chance to notice this but all the parents of The Stars had such joy in their eyes and happiness in their faces. I could relate as I looked at them. After seeing your child go through misery and look so sick and wondering if they will ever look happy again.. It felt so good to see them shining and smiling and happy.
You are all very special people and the impact of your kindness is infinite.
This one-of-a-kind, never been done before event was Chaired by Mrs. Diana Tashman and her Co-Chairwoman and Michela Perillo-Green.
